A TV3 with Roger Mas (and in Girona with Quico Pi)
Thursday's deal played a small and curious challenge. The program DeProp TV3 cite us to record a special concert. I say curious because the idea was to make the repertoire in a conventional scenario, but no audience. Nobody. The problem was that I did not bring the acoustics of the room, is very high that a trial fairly well conditioned and acoustically (a thick black fabric that I wanted to emulate the infinite avoiding any bouncing sound). VAI not bring their own nerves of the musicians fully justified in any direct, more now on television. But although in my (humble) point of view, the result is quite good, was always a feeling of "could have done more."
The control was more than 100 meters from set in a small room where a PM1D dominated and monitors Genelec and Yamaha NS-10. I think that although a direct where, due to the above, was less dynamic expected, the result was good enough. We shall see in the summer, when issued.
On the other hand, yesterday I was playing lead in Quico and his part in Girona, within the framework of the Black Music Festival in the chamber hall of the Auditorio de Girona. Humor, like meeting with a very good acoustics, for 300 people but only 4 UPAS with their subgreus and a meager and ineffective as long as Yamaha PM1000, with only 16 channels of the 26 he needed. But the show and it worked very well. In Quico got seduced over the hundred people who went with his usual repertoire based on his latest album "All" however long and curious discursets between songs. For my part, welcomed the new technical staff of the room, always ready to say "yes" and do a job well done.
